Consult 4 Change LLC (C4C) was founded in February 2013 in South Pasadena, Florida as a Health, Wellness, and Coaching company inspiring and motivating individuals for change. C4C provided coaching to individuals on personal issues, health and fitness, and relationships. In early June 2017, Consult 4 Change vision was extended to Phoenix, Arizona by its founder, Licensed Professional Counselor and PhD Candidate LaJuana E. Mitchell. LaJuana has been a practicing behavior health professional for 13 years with a wealth of experience working in various facilities, settings, and with clients with day to day issues to the severely cognitively impaired. She identifies herself as a result-oriented therapist which has guided her strategic approach in her therapy style and practice.
LaJuana completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor Campus) in 2004 where she received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology with a focus on counseling and organizational behavior. She furthered her studies by completing her Masters of Arts in Clinical Counseling Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology (July 2006) where she specialized in Children and Adolescent Therapy. She is currently a Doctoral Candidate in the Organizational Psychology Program with a specialization in Private Practice Management and Consultation at Walden University where her dissertation topic is individual well-being in the workplace.
LaJuana has over 16 years of experience in the mental and behavior health professions. She has worked in the role of consultant with children and family services, judicial system, public school system, community programs, mentoring programs, and the Department of Defense. LaJuana 's experience includes providing counsel and support in residential adult day programs, long term care facilities, psychiatric hospitals, therapy and psycho-educational groups, partial-hospitalization (PHP), outpatient programs, eating disorders, children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, in home children and family therapy, and the military.
LaJuana has been licensed as a professional counselor (LPC) since 2009 and holds an active license under the Arizona Board of Behavior Health Examiners and the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. She is registered as a state board approved Clinical Supervisor for those requiring clinical supervision towards obtaining an independent license. LaJuana is a National Certified Counselor under the National Board for Certified Counselors, a member of Psi-Chi National Honor Society, The Employee Assistance Professional Association (EAPA), The Society of Industrial & Organizational Psychologists (SIOP) and the American Counseling Association (ACA).
LaJuana has been in the performing arts since the age of 5 years old which fueled her passion for a healthy, fit, and active lifestyle. She has been certified in fitness training and nutrition and has worked with personal trainers and nutrition companies to promote a healthy lifestyle. Her practice was developed upon the principles of EMPOWERing individuals for change, assisting them with their DEVELOPment throughout the process, monitoring and tracking their PROGRESS, while ultimately leading to a path of PROSPERity in life and health. LaJuana is an avid health and wellness researcher working towards becoming a subject matter expert on individual well-being as she completes her dissertation. She incorporates counsel, education, and coaching in her therapeutic approach. She dedicates her time and service to helping others live and adapt more healthy, productive lifestyles.
